Australia Escapade!

We flew off on the 25th of June on Emirates- YES MY Birthday

Destination : Goldcoast / Brisbane

There is no doubt Emirates service is tip top and the food serve is awesome

I didn't experience any turbulence and the whole journey to and fro was smooth.

syukur alhamdulilah

When we reached Brisbane , it was raining ..damn damn cold!

Did i mention the season there is WINTER.

(thank god there is no snow for their winter but nevertheless it was freezing cold/windy for me)

my nose bled occasionally

Most of the time ,

We venture on our OWN and we are super proud of ourselves

wandering the streets of GC and BNE with NO MAP and we didn't even get LOST once.

I am grateful that i have been graded BAND 1 for 2 straight years (2009 and 2010)

my recent appraisal

I can predict 2011 is not going to be easy especially under a different boss BUT i will try.

I am still sad with the fact that my previous boss is no longer managing my team.

Why? I feel indebted towards EVERYTHING he have done for me.

If not for him , i wouldn't be earning this "kind" of salary

what more this year i received a FIVE digit bonus..

NO promotion but $600 increment

SYUKUR ALHAMDULILAH

The recent surprise to TOP it ALL.

I was awarded the MEERKAT of the YEAR 2010.

This was the most SURPRISE and GRAND award i have ever gotten and i was in total tears when my name was announced.

I have always pitied how he worked hard but his boss never even appreciate

Only god knows how much ordeal i have to go through to reap rewards.

What touched me most is the person behind supporting me never ask for any returns.

i thank god for all this and NO not even once i forgotten those days i was financially sick and troubled , when everything turn upside down.
it made me who i am and how i appreciate every single thing more than ever.

2011 started off just as great this year
Of course i hate the fact at work my boss(Lawrence) will be moving to another team,
and i will be under a new boss..but no sweat i will perform better that the last.

I still remember almost 3 years back when i was a newbie under him ,
we had a hard time bonding.
he will picked on me over the slightest thing.scolded me infront of everyone.
how i manage to prove him wrong ..WORK really HARD
he transformed me , now he even task me to do some managerial work.
he have FAITH in me.
I guess all the PERSEVERANCE paid off.
if it was not for him i will not get all the major salary increment,
fat bonus,awards,recognitions,promotions....

He is the best boss i ever had.

so sad about this reshufflement

Left work at 3.45pm.
LOVE and Izhar picked me up from work and then we fetch shikin , off to SAVANNAH

Met the best cousins there.
We had our annual YEAR END bbq event as planned.
What more can i ask for than to wrap the year with dearest family,cousins,friends and LOVE.

Izhar then drove us to watch the fireworks display strike midnight.it was rather disappointing.
The JAMS and all. But it was all worth it when u have the best people around.

19 hours out and i terribly miss the bed.

You will end up running errands the whole time
I was at the registration booth for a whole 2 hours(the party lasted 3 hrs)
when others are enjoying inside (about 200pple and more attended)
i had to run in when the hunk and babe competition is called for
i had not enuf time to doll myself.

no time to even get a drink or even eat

I have 2 major events tomorrow and friday
i am so damn exhausted , the only thing i want to do when i get home from work is sleep.

Tomorrow we are having dinner with the big bosses from the enterprise banking unit.
A treat from them of course as an appreciation for our major support in the operations.

and what do i meant by nervously flattered?
my operations managers chose me out of everyone to give a speech on that day because i had the most recognition and awards in a year :)
i am so unprepared and definitely nervous yet honoured
i am so hoping i don't screw anything tomorrow.

and Friday is finally the DBS year end PARTTYYYY @ Alcova
and what makes me far more excited is that i'm one of the organiser (a group of 10 of us)
it feels good to be built good rapport with the big bosses while coordinating the whole event
we , the organisers will be performing a dance as the closure to the event.

of coz a big thank you to all the sponsors

we had a voting going on for 2 weeks at work

2 years with DBS

One of my biggest achievement yet.

I manage to secure myself the SILVER award in Service Excellence throughout all the banks.
The event that was held at Suntec Convention Held on the 12/10/2010
Total of about 7 banks..i think..

A colleague of mine said that she only manage to achieve SILVER after working in the bank for 7 years..and told me i should be proud of myself.. Yes I AM :)

DBS had the coolest booth there.
We had our individual / group shot taken, printed instantly
and slotted in a nice booklet to be given to us .
THE FOOD WAS GREAT!..how can it not be...
DBS paid $80 per head.We should have ate more

I'm aiming for a GOLD award next year. Insyallah

It was a well-spent Saturday.
The food was great and the amount of FUN = priceless
This was event held for Corporate team.

Hello! Life have been close to perfect.

This 2nd promotion is driving me nuts.

I was a total mess, a confused little girl just before this 365days

Money Over Health

there are so many things in life we take for granted.
we often make mistake in classifying the wants and the needs..the gold and the rice.
this ramadhan have been testing me to almost the ultimatum
i will not be fasting for this whole month.
As of now i only managed to complete a day

While im busy trying to earn the bigger bucks aim for the bigger post.
i neglected the most important thing..my health.
The recurring cramps i assume was normal didn't end up quite normal i guess.
My stubborness in refusing to go to the doctor.
Reasons are
: I do not want to clock too many mcs at work fr good appraisal sake (crazy $$ bonus)
: wanted to win the $80 vouchers frm Takashimaya if i have zero mcs at work for 3 consecutive mths.
: very much afraid to know the result

Do you realise what was the first 2 factor?
yes silly me i know.
BF was pretty annoyed with my money minded attitude.
and izhar was enjoying the moment bf was seriously scolding me yesterday ..ass.

I got him all pissed off last night when i started to whine about the healthy body award vouchers

Bf:how much is the voucher you are dying for?
Me : $80 *sigh*
Bf: i give you $80 cash and you go see the doctor.
at that moment i know i am a pretty much messed up crazy over money girl.lol
Instantly i promised him that i'll visit Mr D and i DO NOT NEED the $80
Very sweet of him.. i nak $8000 boleh? ;p

All the late nights holding up to the pain.
crying myself to sleep.. in denial state that tomorrow will better but i was wrong
Reality check finally.
The results was not very favouring.
Eventhough MR D CGH is quite cute and young,he did not spare me from the awful truth :(
I have to thank mummy for accompanying me the whole 4 hours at CGH.
The next appointment is on the 31/8/2010.. Some things i just have to leave to FATE.
Whatever the result is i know i'm gonna pull through like how mum did.

How can i not pull through the avalanche when i have awesome people boosting my morale

Work have been pretty stressful recently. extremely
So many oracle updates in the DBS intranet.
Updates after updates.. Emails after Emails. Different business unit after another.

Revamping the whole page.
Organising and sorting the banking products to the right link.
Making sure all the information is UPDATED and no broken hyperlinks
Having a cover around eases the burden.
I was working with eleanor doing the updates for Corporate Account Services and Remittance.
Just when i'm starting to get the hang of it.

I was "UPGRADED" to working alone.
My initial position was took over by annie..so she will be helping eleanor. ..
and me...i am IN CHARGE OF CORPORATE LOANS now.
STRESS No joke

I almost wanted to faint after i came back frm the long weekend and saw the email our Operation Manager send out.
And worst i will be doing it alone .. :(
CORPORATE LOANS = Me = ALONE
why like this... boss........get someone more smarter lah ..

I had my first assignment just now and i took a whole hour to think and on how to organise the whole information to make sure it is easy access by staff .
i'm super afraid of making mistakes.
if i make mistakes it will result to approximately thousands of staff giving wrong informations to customer
( the thousands part is purely exaggerated ;p )
especially on charges,documentations and procedures.
wah loans no playplay

sigh i doubt you readers understand why im whining away like old maiden..
let me be ok. i need a breather !

It was a well spent 2 days leave (Thursday+ Friday),weekends and PH
Thursday -- Sayang's 2nd BDAE surprise was a success..(it was with izhar's adv bdae celeb too)
Sunday -- Universal Studios Singapore was FARKING GREAT.The weather was on our side.
720 Degrees and 12 hours of FUN!..i'm sure there will be a 2nd ...3rd...4th visit again..perhaps..we had so much fun..

bf have been whining away on how he misses the whole place..LOL
Exclude the tickets prices.i spent close to 200 SGD JUST shopping in Universal Studios. 8)
(thanks to DBS of course for the free pair of universal tickets .my workplace rocks!. i had to only purchase 1 more for brother :)
